Special Education Services

Nenahnezad Community School provides the necessary support for students with special needs. Our adaptable and well-balanced curriculum ensures that all students reach their full potential. Academic progress is monitored closely from early identification of disabilities to comprehensive classroom accommodations. Our special education program allows students with special needs to advance at the same speed as their classmates. With advanced teaching tools and resources, we support students through learning challenges.

Special education teachers collaborate with parents and teachers to design an Individual Education Program (IEP). The IEP provides teachers and students with the best learning strategy to match a student’s unique needs. All IEPs are carefully monitored to document successes and areas for improvement.

We offer students the personal attention needed to progress through the school year. Staff uses the latest and most effective teaching techniques to optimize students' classroom experience. Our special education team provides services to address all mental, physical, social, and emotional challenges a student may encounter.

Nenahnezad Community School’s cooperation with parents/guardians is the foundation for our successful special education program. Students have the best chance at success when parents/guardians stay involved with the learning process. School-family partnerships foster open communication where ideas, input, suggestions, and questions from the parents/guardians are encouraged.

Our students with special needs experience significant gains as they are nurtured and supported through our learning process. For optimal student success, parents/guardians, and teachers should identify disabilities early, accommodate them and monitor progress continuously.
