Nenahnezad Community School is dedicated to serving nutritious meals that support student well-being. Our cafeteria offers balanced meals that meet USDA guidelines and accommodate students' dietary needs.

Meal Costs

Occasionally and on special event days, Nenahnezad Community School may extend the courtesy of a meal to parents, employees, school board members, or visitors, however not on a regular basis. Traditionally, Nenahnezad Community School has had a few holiday meals, two (2) luncheons per year.

Adult meals are not eligible for Federal USDA reimbursement; therefore, any adult who takes a meal at school (other than the exceptions noted above) will pay the following rates:

  • Breakfast ------------------- $3.00
  • Lunch ----------------------- $5.00
  • Snacks ---------------------- $2.00
  • Milk -------------------------- $1.50

Meal tickets may be purchased from the school clerk in Building 401.

Cafeteria Rules

Students must follow these and all other school rules while in the cafeteria:

  • Always demonstrate good behavior.
  • Only bottled water, milk, and juice from the cafeteria line are allowed. Tea, sodas, sports drinks, or energy drinks are prohibited.
  • Enter the cafeteria only through the designated entrance.

Our school is a member of the Indigenous Food Hub team. We, along with, four other schools and several detention centers across the country, are focused on providing students with healthy meals every day, but also a variety of indigenous ingredients at least once a month. Please see below the Harvest of the Month program information.
