Welcome to Nenahnezad Community School, the Home of the Tigers!
We serve kindergarten through sixth-grade students in our Navajo community. Students are introduced to classroom instruction and led through our holistic and well-rounded educational program. Dedicated teachers, staff, specialists and counselors design learning plans that meet students' mental, physical, social and emotional needs. Nenahnezad Community School’s comprehensive curriculum incorporates lessons in the Navajo language, culture and tradition.
Nenahnezad Community School students prepare for middle and high school grade levels with the essential foundations of reading, writing, math and science studies. Our inclusive curriculum also develops young Tigers in media literacy, technology, special education, social and emotional counseling and mental health services. Resident scholars and day students can grow into productive citizens on our safe and peaceful campus. Nenahnezad Community School’s educators ensure that every student reaches their full potential.
Our learning environment focuses on providing all students with the tools and resources they need to advance to the next grade. Nenahnezad Community School facilitates partnerships that foster clear and constant communication. Students, parents/guardians, teachers and community members are invited to join us in helping each of our Tigers succeed.
Strategic Transformation of Education Plan (STEP)
During the 2023-2024 school year, Nenahnezad Community School implemented the Strategic Transformation of Education Plan initiative – a digital learning portal with a blended learning approach. Our students can maximize this opportunity by accessing the digital learning portal with a 1:1 student-laptop usage ratio. This approach gives our students the advantage of integrated applications, and a robust learning strategy.

I would like to welcome you to Nenahnezad Community School's Tiger website.
Thank you for the privilege of serving you and your students through our motto, "Everyone's a Teacher in Pursuit of Lifelong Learning." It is a pleasure to work with a talented instructional staff as well as academic technicians, Navajo culture and language, and the support staff who all care about students and their learning environment and success.
I'd like to thank you, parents, guardians, grandparents and stakeholders, who support our goals, including 92% or greater attendance. Thank you for your communication with the school and taking part in our parent engagement activities. Please enjoy the website.
